Alexander the great Wymondham Judo Club players took part in the Regional Open Judo Championships held at Martham.
This was a high-quality event and attracted entries from around the country and from several different styles, so not every Wymondham player was able to earn a medal.
However, the club still came away with six gold, seven silver, and seven bronze medals across the categories, making it once again the most successful club at the event.
As ever, the players all demonstrated good skill, determination and spirit, but special mention must be made of Alexander London who, competing in his first-ever event, took an excellent gold in the boys' white belts category.
Results - Gold: Michael Godden, Oliver Purllant, Alexander London, Jack Purllant, Sherridan Dye, Ashley Harrop.
Silver: Maddie Sanders, James Gadsby, Megan Wolstenholme, Cameron Heywood, Kiya Claydon, David Booth, William Booth;
Bronze: Emma Merryweather, Owen Sully, Karnika Sanders, Megan Thomas, Nathan Crowe, Alexander Tonnison, Adam Claydon.
