KATHMANDU, Oct. 30: The 25-member team of Judo players will leave for Hydarabad, India Wednesday to participate in the 1st Asian Youth Judo Championship and 8th Asian Junior Judo Championship-2007 slated from November 5-7.
The team includes 20 players-10 men and 10 women- and five officials, which will be led by Ramesh Maharjan, Vice President of Nepal Judo Association (NJA).
The 16 players are selected from the winners of 1st Youth and Junior National Judo Championship and four from 9th National Judo Championship held recently.
For the first time a large number of Nepalese Judo players are participating in the Asian level championship said Ambar Bahadur Chettri, General Secretary of NJA.
Acting Member Secretary of National Sports Council (NSC), Bhumishor Dhakal, NSC Vice President Sita Ram Maskey, and President of NGA bade farewell to the judo players Tuesday at the National Sport Council. FONTE: Gorkhapatra - Kathmandu,Nepal
