Schools judo at Jean Pierre

SIXTEEN SECONDARY schools and four primary schools will be participating in the inaugural National Schools Judo Championships tomorrow at the Jean Pierre Sports Complex, Mucurapo.

The event is scheduled to begin at 9.45 am and will run until 4 pm.

This Championships will be staged under the auspices of the Trinidad and Tobago Judo Association and is supported by the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs.

According to a media release, “(of) major significance will be the contest between students from the School for the Visually Impaired against those from the sighted.”

The participating schools are Donross Preparatory, Maria Regina, Malabar RC, Arima New Government (primary); St Joseph Convent Port-of-Spain, QRC, Holy Name Convent, Success Laventille, School for the Visually Impaired, St Joseph Secondary, El Dorado West, North Eastern College, Mayaro Secondary, Marabella North, Marabella South, San Fernando East, San Fernando Central, Naparima Girls, Union Claxton Bay and Preysal High (secondary).
