The next stage of the World Judo Cup has ended in Rome, Italy. The only award for Ukraine's national team was claimed by Serhiy Drebot, who won a bronze medal in a weight category of up to 66 kg.
Drebot defeated Tomasz Kowalski of Poland in the first fight, and then beat Olympic champion Choi Min-Ho of South Korea. In the third fight, Drebot lost to Francesco Faraldo of Italy, and in a third-place battle he confidently beat two-time champion Maxim Kuznetsov of Russia.
