Gujranwala win Punjab Women Judo

LAHORE: Punjab Women Judo Championship organised by the Punjab Judo Association concluded here yesterday in the auditorium of the Samanabad Govt. Girls High School. Gujranwala District, with a total of 21 points won the trophy.

Lahore District with 19 points stood second while Rawalpindi placed third with 6 points. Thirteen districts teams of the Punjab took part in this two-day event. Mrs. Samina Khan, President, Pakistan Women Judo Association distributed the medals and prizes amongst the winners. Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Khan lauded the efforts of the Punjab Judo Association in promoting the judo in Punjab. She said that this tournament provided an excellent opportunity to the women judo players to show their skills.
