SITTINGBOURNE Judo Club has claimed double gold at the Tsu Mo Kie Open Judo championships at the Epping Sports Centre.
Kirsty Snelling performed brilliantly to claim the gold medal in the girls under-25 kilos group, with Dennis Kerr powering his way through the seniors field for his gold medal.
Sittingbourne took a team of six to the championships and every member came home with a medal to cap an excellent team performance. The youngest member, five-year-old Skye Kerr, fought bravely in the under-19 kilos group to come away with bronze, while nine-year-old Brandon Hamer battled his way to bronze despite not being able to summon his best form.
Two more bronzes completed the haul for Sittingbourne, with 11-year-old Keiran Snelling standing up to more experienced opposition, and 12-year-old Sean Young finishing the day as the club's most improved performer.
Anyone interested in trying judo can turn up on Monday night at Sittingbourne Community College, or call Dave or Sue on 01795 553 837.
