Junior Arab Judo Championship: 7 gold out of 11 medals for Algeria [Aps 22/8/07] Algiers- Algeria’s national judo junior teams (boys and girls) snatched 11 medals overall, including 7 gold and 2 silver, at the Junior Arab Judo championship run from (16 to 21 August) in Sanaa (Yemen), the Algerian Judo Federation (FAJ) announced. The gold medals were respectively claimed by Amina Temmar (-78kg), Siham Neghiz (-70kg), Meriem Aggoune (-57kg) and Manel Ahmed Yahia (-52kg) among girls’ selection. Whereas boys’ gold medals were snatched by Billel Bourbia (+100kg), Mohamed Fellah (-90kg) and Sid Ali Belacel (-81kg).The silver medals went to Anissa Idren (-48kg) and Belkacem Slimani (-60kg) while Youcef Ouahab (-66kg) and Larbi Grini (-73kg) contented themselves each of bronze medals. Algeria took the first place in teams’ events.
