Iran's junior judo team wins bronze medal in German tournament
Berlin, Aug 14, IRNA-Iran's junior judo team won a bronze medal Sunday evening during the German International Judo Championship, held in Berlin.
Ali Mohammadnia overcame his opponents from Russia, Belgium and Romania in the 90-kg section to land in third place.
Meanwhile another Iranian judoka Iraj Amir Khani came in 7th in the 81-kg class after losing to his Japanese rival.
Amir Khani beat competitors from Germany, Serbia and Russia in the first stages.
Iran's three other judokas - Hamid Qassemi-Nejad, Elias Aliakbari and Amir Maleki-Pour - failed to qualify for the medal rounds.
