KATHMANDU, July 17 - Mahalaxmi Shrestha has become the first and only Nepali women referee to get international recognition in judo.
She was awarded with a JUB 'B' Referee certificate in the International Judo Referee Seminar conducted in Thailand on July 8-9. The Nepal Police coach has now become
eligible for officiating in international tournaments.
Along with Shrestha, NSC assistant coach Birendra Ranjit received IJF 'Continental' Referee license in the same seminar.
