Two of Japan's top judo stars have arrived in the North East to showcase their skills.
The pair have spent the week teaching youngsters in Stonehaven as part of the local Judo Club's 25th anniversary celebrations.
For a quarter of a century the Stonehaven Judo club has been offering tuition to youngsters but this week they are offering something a little bit different.
As part of their anniversary celebrations the club are producing a DVD and have enlisted the help of two Japanese Champions.
Fresh from success at their University Championships, Aki Hongo and Kaz Taguchi are in Scotland to pass on their expertise and they've made quite an impact on the pupils.
Ian Guthrie, the Stonehaven Judo Club Founder said: "I was quite surprised because these guys are over 100kg, but they've actually been practicing with the children and gently throwing them about. Our kids have seen a lot of experts over the years so they tend not to be overly enamoured, but they were asking for their autographs which is quite unusual."
Aki And Kaz will lead a demonstration which will form part of the club's anniversary DVD.
They've spent the week preparing the pupils for friday's filming and both men have been impressed with what they have seen.
Both these men have a formidable reputaiton on the judo circut and Aki is targetting success at the London 2012 Olympics.
Attracting them here is a major coup for the Stonehaven club giving youngsters the chance to try techniques they have never even seen before. Both men have been schooled in Japanese judo's strict discipline since the age of seven and are now 3rd dan black belts.
These youngsters are just starting out on that journey but their instructors hope that this week's tuition will encourage them to stay the course.
