Five medals for judo club in Games

YOUNGSTERS in Southend put up a fight and came away with five medals. Five members of Southend Judo Club took part in the Essex Youth Games last weekend and each won a medal at the tournament held at Garrens Park.
Gold medal winners for the club included Dylan Callahghan, Kierern Lisovski and Joe Base, while Luke Bird won silver and Jodie Lisovski scooped a bronze.
John Horrigan, club coach, said: "Every player trained very hard for the competition and it paid off. To win this many medals was outstanding for all involved and a credit to their skill." Fonte: ic Essex.co.uk - Essex, UK - http://icessex.icnetwork.co.uk/
