Damon's Bronze
BROWN belt Damon Lee Pegg took bronze at the Celtic Cup International Judo Tournament in Edinburgh recently.
And then last week he took bronze again at the Wilrijk International Open in Belgium.The 14-year-old Walton High School pupil travelled to a Scottish event with a group of Kendal Judo Club members, where they competed against players from Europe as well as our own British Cadet squad.Damon competed in the under 38 kgs category and the group was separated into two pools, where he took the first two contests winning by 10 points to reach the fight off.The final was not easy but the Nelson fighter went the distance against a more experience senior brown belt only to lose by a minor score.Damon trains at both Pendle Judo Club and Kendal Judo Club.
