Zambia: Zambian Judokas Reap 24 Medals

THE Zambian judo team that competed in the inaugural Zone VI Judo Championship in Zimbabwe has reaped 24 medals at the contest.
National Sports Council of Zambia (NSCZ) general secretary Dick Mpheneka who confirmed the results said the Shapa Wakunguma led team minted 10 gold, 13 silver and one bronze medals.
"At the moment, these are the only details that we have received in both judo and Kurash categories," Mpheneka said. Mpheneka said he was impressed by the judokas' performance. The team is expected back home early this week.
