Medal haul for judo clubEnfield Judo Club came away with seven medals from an international tournament in Belgium at the weekend.
Ten club members took part in the competition, with Sasha Michalevitch striking gold in the 23kg event.
There were also silver medals for Tia Thompson and Thomas Hill, while Tia was among the bronze medal winners too. The other medallists were Shannon Austin, Samuel Hill and Liam Harrison.
Enfield Judo Club are currently looking for a sponsor or sponsors to support two young people from the club.
Founder and coach George Hyslop said: "We are trying to raise money to send two young judokas to an American judo camp over the month of August this year.
"This is the first time and a new venture for the Enfield Judo Club and, should it be successful, our intentions are that this will be an annual adventure for potential young fighters from the Enfield borough."
