Two Vietnamese athletes compete at World Judo Championships

Đầu tháng 4 tới, đội tuyển Judo Việt Nam sẽ sang Hàn Quốc dự Giải vô địch châu Á 2008. Đây là cơ hội cuối cùng để các vận động viên trong đội tuyển tích điểm đi dự Olympic Bắc Kinh 2008.

 

Van Ngoc Tu and Nguyen Thi Lan are competing at the World Judo Championships which is taking place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Nguyen Thi Lan was defeated by Japanese rival, Shiose Ayako, in the 57kg category.

Meanwhile, Van Ngoc Tu trounced Podryadova Alexandra from Kazakhstan to win the bronze medal in the 48kg category with an additional 40 points in the world ranking - the best result ever achieved by Vietnamese Judo team in international competitions.
