A JUDO player and coach from Swindon both scooped bronze medals at the Great Britain Masters Championships in Thetford.
Roy Walker and his coach Lee Adams were among more than 150 male and female judoka from across the four home nations who took part in the event.
Walker was third in the under 73kg category, while Adams matched him in the under 81kg.
Following their success, the Swindon Judo Club pair have been named in the British Masters Squad.
Walker and Adams travelled to the event with fellow Swindon member Craig Curtis, but he failed to win a third successive Masters title, coming away empty-handed.
Walker said: "Me and Lee both lost to go into the finals but managed to win the bronze medals.
"I didn't go there expecting to win a medal and neither did Lee.
"Craig is normally the one who wins everything.
"Normally we travel home with nothing, so it was a really nice surprise to pick up the medal and it was a good achievement.'' He added: "Lee's been involved in the sport for a long time, but I had quite a few years out and have only been back for about 18 months.
"This is the one we all train for.
"We've been hard at it for about two months, and so to come away with a medal makes it all seem worthwhile."
