The Bahamas Judo Federation (BJF) held its elections on Wednesday and returned D'Arcy Rahming as President.
"I am delighted with the administrative team that we have elected," said Rahming. "It speaks to the high caliber of individuals that can take the sport to a higher level."
Other officers elected with Rahming include: Vice President Central - veteran Security Manager Gamal Newry, Vice President North - former Intercollegiate Champion Philip Jones, Treasurer - Businessman Philip Kemp, General Secretary - Lawyer Keith Davies, Technical Referee Director - Judo Instructor Mickey Munnings, and Technical Sports Director - Lawyer David Rahming.
Rahming outlined his plans for the near future which include a school league, National Championships and more training camps with local and international experts.
"We are in the process of implementing a three-year strategic plan that is intended to make Judo a household name in The Bahamas, through our international successes and the character development of our membership," he said.
The Bahamas Judo Federation has its headquarters in the All-Star Family Centre building on Joe Farrington Road.
