UP judokas win medals at S Jr National C’ships

Lucknow, September 5: The UP Judo Team won two golds, one silver and two bronze medals in the Sub-Junior Nationals Judo Championships held at Shillong, Meghalaya recently.
The gold medals were won by Javed Ali of Ghaziabad and Sanjeev Kumar of Moradabad. The silver was won by Parul of Meerut while the bronze medals were won by Vijay Yadav of Varanasi and Priyanshu Awasthi of Hardoi.

Chhaya Verma of Kanpur, Ayushi Gupta of Lucknow, Arvind Yadav and Mamta Yadav of Gorakhpur lost their bronze medal bouts and were placed fifth in their respective weight categories, according to general secretary UP Judo Association Munawar Anzar.
