Randell takes gold in judo

South Canterbury's Rochelle Randell made a spectacular comeback at the South Island Judo Championships in Christchurch at the weekend to take gold.
Randell won all her fights in the senior women's section, beating a three dan black belt from Wellington on her way to taking the gold. She was also laced third in the open section.
Junior boys: George Youngman, under-32kgs second; under 36 kgs Robert Wills first and third in the open event, Marc Rooney, third.
Intermediate boys: Nick Annear first, combined; 66-73 kgs, second.
Senior boys: Under 55kgs, Tim Marshall, third.
Junior men: David Marshall, under 81 kgs, second and third in the open.
Junior women: Under 63 kgs, Zoe Marshall first and first in the intermediate women under 63 kgs.
Senior women: Under 78 kgs, Rochelle Randell and third in the open section.
