The Wellington PCYC Judo Club has wallked away with a swag of medals from the Lake Macquarie City Games at the Kido Mingare Judo Academy.
The visit was a great opportunity for the team as they came up against judo players from Ube Nishi Judo in Japan who train and compete under the watchful eyes of Ishida Katsuomi (4th Dan) and Yamane Tomohiko (6th Dan).
Results
Gold: Ben Collis, Kane Macrone and Fergus Banks.
Silver: Caroline Hain and Diana Rose.
Bronze: Jesse Macrone, Thomas (TJ) Bell and Amanda Dorin.
Gifts were exchanged by all players and a barbecue lunch followed the tournament allowing everyone to get to know each other.
Many thanks to all parents who helped make the trip fun and very successful.
Judo is on at the PCYC on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5pm to 7pm.
New players are welcome, call in if interested.
