Vietnam secures first place at regional judo championships

Vietnam won 12 gold, three silver and two bronze medals at the Southeast Asia Judo Championships, ranking first among seven countries competing at the event.The September 2-3 championships in Cambodia provided an opportunity for junior Vietnamese judokas to gain experience for better performances in the future, said Le Duy Hai, chief coach of the Vietnamese team.The event draw more than 90 judokas from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, competing for 18 sets of medals.
