Rose captures world judo bronze
Paralympic medallist Ian Rose clinched a bronze medal at last week's IBSA Judo World Championships in France.
The 34-year-old from High Wycombe, who took silver in Athens, won his bronze medal match in the 100kg category against Russian Grigory Shineyderman.
The five-strong British blind and partially-sighted squad also managed two 5th places from Simon Jackson (73kg category)and Ben Quilter (60kg).
The event was one of three qualifiers for the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing.
British Judo High Performance Director Colin McIver, said: "I am happy with the results achieved in France.
"However, we need to aim to win medals across the entire team in the remaining qualifiers in order for all our players to be fully secure in the final rankings for Beijing places." FONTE: BBC Sport - UK - http://br.f338.mail.yahoo.com/
