Tora competitors shine at pair of judo events

The Tora Judo Club had a busy weekend recently, sending six judoka to the Liberty Bell Judo Classic tournament in Philadelphia, and another 17 to compete in Brantford.
The Liberty Bell Tournament attracted top competitors from all over Canada and the United States, with approximately 700 competitors taking part.
Placing second in their divisions were Nicole Jenicek and Tara Kelly, while Bailey Parnell brought home a third.
For the boy's, Jeremy Yuen placed fifth in his division while Alexander Reid and Derrick Reid fought well in their respective classifications.
The Tora Judo Club had 17 fighters attend the Brantford event, bringing home 14 medals.
Placing first in their divisions were Colton Merrick, Dawson Merkley and Dylan McNabb.
Placing second in their divisions were Amanda Zuech, Lucas Merrick, Indervir Dhami, Alexander Foster and Alex Pattison.
Placing third were Alexander Bernardo, Robert McMichael, Eris Moncur, Colin Ramos, Dylan McNabb and Tammy Day
Other competitors who fought well in their respective divisions were Matthew Zuech, Oceane Perron, Genna Burnett, and Mick McNabb.
