St Albans Judo Club in Cornwall ST Albans Judo Club made the grade during the Easter weekend when they travelled to Cornwall.Tomi Borzak was in top form to earn three blue tabs on his green belt and a £100 scholarship award which was presented by the President of the B.J.C.Jordan Butler collected his orange belt with one green tab and Ricky Cleevely continued the good form, winning his first contest with ippon and his second with uchi-mata in 2.5 seconds to earn his blue belt. Abigail Wilkins followed suit with four straight ippon wins to claim her blue belt.In the seniors Sam Beale recorded three straight ippon wins to earn her brown belt while Kar-ming Yeung battled well against tough opposition.Black belts Dave Clark and Danny Anderson fought well to improve their Dan Grades while Club Chairman Bob Cleevely won two fights with ippon but narrowly missed out on his 2nd Dan.
