The Sakura Bana Kwai held their group club championships and annual awards at Henbury Court School, Bristol.This event is held for members of the group only and was attended by over 60 contestants. The standard of judo was high, considering a large number of children had only been training since September.Most improved boy: Robert Wells (Sidcot-St Martin's). Best newcomer: Joshua Farmer (Campus).Spirit of judo: James Thomas (St Martin's). Boys under 20kg: 2, Carleton Ham (Campus). Boys under 25kg: 3, Charlie Camper (Campus). Boys under 30kg: 1, Sam Bradley (St Martin's); 2, Jordon Mistry (Campus). Boys under 40kg: 2, Jacob Spiers (St Martin's). Boys under 45kg: 2, Gregory Oldfield (St Martins); 3, James Martin (St Martin's). Boys over 45kg: 2, Ashley Sennington (St Martin's); 3, Robert Wells (Sidcot-St Martin's). Girls under 20kg: 1, Matilda Atkinson (Herons Moore); 2, Jamilla Scammell (Herons Moore). Girls under 30kg: 1, Faith Wright (Herons Moore-Campus). Girls over 40kg: 1, Angela Oldfield (St Martin's); 2, Georgis Fuller (Campus); 3, Emma Rayner (Sidcot).
