QRC shine in Schools Judo Tournament

Queen's Royal College captured two of the three titles up for grabs among the boys at the inaugural Queen's Park Judo Club (QPJC) Schools Judo Tournament, at the Jean Pierre Complex, in Port of Spain, last Saturday.
Sean Lawrence triumphed in the boys' under-14 45 kilogrammes division, while his fellow-Royalian Matthew Sheppard was the class of the boys' under-14 73kg field. South East Port of Spain Secondary student Mark Samuel captured the boys' 16 and over title.
Cherisse Littrean, of St Joseph's Convent, Port of Spain, claimed the girls' under-15 crown; Providence Girls Catholic School student Vanna Girod topped the girls' 15-17 52kg division; Holy Name Convent's Raeanne Hutton struck gold in the girls' 15-17 66kg category; and Chezev Matthew, of Bishop Anstey High School, emerged victorious in the girls' open competition.
