Marlborough School pupil scoops gold in judo championships

A MARLBOROUGH School Pupil has scooped a gold medal after competing in the Welsh National Judo Championships.

Jack Woods, a year 11 student at the Walting Street school won his category and will now be competing in the British Championships which will be held in October.

Following on from his successes he has also been invited to train with the British Judo Council with a view to becoming a member of the national squad.
