The Imphal Free PressIMPHAL, Apr 21: The Indian judo team will leave from Delhi tomorrow for the Asian judo championship which is going to held at Judo city in South Korea from 24 to 27 April 2008.
A total of 12 players will be participating from India led by Judo Federation of India general secretary Mukesh Kumar. Out of the 12 players six are boys and rest girls including four from Manipur Judo Association.
Three of them are at present serving in the CRPF namely Kh Tombi (48 kg), A Anita (52 kg), L Nirupama (57 kg) and one is staying at SAI, Patiala as a trainee namely Ch Jina (70 kg).
According to the results of the Asian judo championship the Judo Federation of India will select players for the Olympics to be held at Beijing.
