Rowley's Luke Boyle, 10, captured a title at last weekend's 2007 USA Judo National Junior Olympic Judo Championships in San Antonio, Texas. His national championship came in the boys intermediate 48 kilogram division.
His older brother, Mark Jr., 11, took home fourth place in the boys intermediate 48 kilogram division at the same event.
The Boyles come from a family heavily immersed in the combat culture. The youngest sibling, John, 9, also competes in Judo. He placed third in the previous weekend's Judo National Championships in Indianapolis, Ind. Luke took home gold at the same event, whereas Mark earned silver.
The three boys' father, Mark Boyle, is a Strongman competitor and former body builder. Their mother, Margaret, was the national Strongman champion for women in 2006.
