Craig Fallon hopes for a win at European judo championships in Finland
Craig Fallon will be hoping to win a title for Great Britain in next month's judo European Championships, which are being held in Finland. Craig Fallon, who won the -60kg world title in September 2005, is included in an experienced line-up for the contest in Tampere from May 26 to 28.
And Aldershot's four-time European champion Karina Bryant will be hoping to hang on to her +78kg crown., whilst Scottish duo Euan Burton and Sarah Clark will be hoping for success in the -81kg and -63kg categories. Winston Gordon, who finished fifth in the last Olympics, is trying for his first Championship medal in the -90kg category and Michelle Rogers is taking part in her first Championships for five years after winning medals at three in a row between 1996 and 2001. British Judo High Performance Director Colin McIver said: "We have been able to select our number one player in each weight category but they still face the ever strong European competition for medals.
